Lucia attended the Fashion Design & Accessories Course (2010-2012) in the Waterford Adult Education Centre and graduated with a FETAC level 5 in Fashion Design.

” The Fashion Design & Accessories course and VTOS has been important in developing the skills, confidence to design and the contacts to start my own business “Lutsia” in 2013″.  The Waterford Adult Education Centre works with the Waterford City Enterprise Board (WCEB) to offer group workshops to second year students who are interested in starting their own business.

“The course is very intensive and I learned a lot starting with textile manipulation, jewellery making, to sewing my own garments.  The value that the Fashion Design course offers under VTOS should not be underestimated and it is the FETAC level 5 accreditation in Fashion Design, the experience of learning to design, as well as the support from the English language classes (ESOL), which have made all the difference for me in the launch of my business Lutsia”.

Lucia is now working with the Kite Centre in Waterford, sponsored by WCEB, where she designs and sells her fashion range and accessories.
